• Step 1: Welcome to the Jubilee Walkway Section 2! This Eastern Loop is a circular walk which starts and ends at the Tate Modern, passing through the heart of the City. Look out for the Jubilee Walkway discs o the pavement as you go.

• Step 2: The nearest tube to the Tate Modern is Blackfriars. Or you can start on the north bank of Millennium Bridge to access Mansion House or St Paul’s stations.

• 

  Step 3: From outside the Tate Modern, head east to follow the River Thames downstream towards The Shard. The river should be on your left.

• 

  Step 4: Pass Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. It’s a reconstruction of the original theatre which was built in 1599.

• 

  Step 5: Continue along Bankside and head through the tunnel under Southwark Bridge.

• 

  Step 6: You are walking along the south bank Thames Path National Trail for this first stretch.
