Step 1: Welcome to the Journey of Words walking tour in Ipswich. The walk is best done in daylight hours and is step-free. There are steep sections at the beginning and the end. You will also need access to the internet.
Step 2: Please switch off your phone’s low-battery mode to view the AR features. The walk starts at Henley Road. Face Ipswich School where many notable authors, writers, and societal figures attended school.

Step 4: When you’re ready, with your back to the school, use the pedestrian crossing to make your way over Henley Road. Enter Christchurch Park.
Step 5: Follow the local signage which asks for dogs on leads. The park opens from 7am daily with variable closing times based on the season.
Step 6: Continue ahead on the tarmac path, walking past the old water fountain.
