Step 1: Start at Taynish Car Park here. There are several routes to choose from. This walk takes the strenuous red, Barr Mòr trail to the top.

Step 2: Follow the path right of the sign. In winter look out for “old man’s beard which turns the woodland grey-green and red holly berries.

Step 3: In spring look out for white wood anemones, the purple haze of bluebells and bright yellow primroses like these. 💛

Step 4: You should also spot yellow gorse blossom. A feast for the eyes. Many birds are resident here including soaring buzzards.

Step 5: As you make your way around you might even come across grazing cattle, which help to keep the meadows full of flowers and butterflies.
Step 6: Keep to the path and look out for a right turning or red sign post. Turn right.
