  • Exit car park and continue towards Alnwick Town along Howling Lane.

  • Pottergate Tower is just up ahead. It was formerly part of the town's medieval defences.

  • Step 4: The tower was rebuilt in 1768 to a design by a Mr Henry Bell. It used to have a crown spire, which was removed in 1812. You can now book it as a holiday cottage! Just search online if interested.
