• Step 1: This route is not covered by buses so needs two cars or a car with taxi. This walks starts at the Trout at Tadpole Bridge. We parked at the pub or there are some lay-bys. We caught a taxi back from the Swan at Radcot Bridge.

• 

  Step 2: Exit the grounds of the Trout, turn right and head across the bridge.

• 

  Step 3: The bridge is a single lane controlled by traffic lights without a pavement. Cross to the left side.

• 

  Step 4: Enter through the gate and down to the riverside.

• 

  Step 5: The path here is a paved road which continues until the lock. The river is behind trees and bushes on the left.

• 

  Step 6: Continue along the road as it curves. Up ahead you may spot a pillbox from here.
