• 

  Step 1: Start at the gate in the car park nearest the driveway. Go through the gate.

• 

  Step 2: Walk across the field keeping the hedge on your right. There may be sheep in the pen on your left.

• 

  Step 3: At the end of the field go through the kissing gate. Sadly this makes the trail inaccessible for wheelchair users and mobility scooters.

• 

  Step 4: Veer slightly right but don’t take the path immediately right (into the woods).

• 

  Step 5: You’ll emerge onto Kingsdown Lane - a wider path. Turn right.

• 

  Step 6: Walk for 250 metres along Kingsdown Lane. This is Swindon’s only “restricted byway” - for walking, cycling and horse drawn carriages!
