  Step 1: We start this walk outside the Earsham Street cafe, perfect for a nice tea and cake. We walk to the right along the road.

• 

  Step 2: Look for the path to the side of the Castle Inn.

• 

  Step 3: In the car park around the back of the pub look for the hidden path along the left hand wall.

• 

  Step 4: Carry on along this path.

• 

  Step 5: The path opens up into a park with Bungay Castle to the left.

• Step 6: A square Norman keep was built here in 1165 by Lord Hugh Bigod, which was later rebuilt in 1394.
