  Step 1: The walk starts in the National Trust car park near the entrance to Craflwyn Hall, just off the A498 near Beddgelert

• 

  Step 2: The car park has an honesty box, seeking donations for upkeep of the site

• 

  Step 3: There is also a public toilet block next to the car park. Last chance before you get back here!

• 

  Step 4: There are several way-marked routes through these woodlands. This route follows the BLACK arrowed trail

• 

  Step 5: The route rises gently at first through what were once the formally-designed woodland walks of the Craflwyn estate

• 

  Step 6: The walls of these ruined outbuildings are now heavily overgrown with a rich layer of mosses and ferns
