  Step 1: Park in Beddgelert and find the footbridge over the river. Cross over onto the green, then turn left along the riverside

• 

  Step 2: The riverside path goes to the left of a pretty row of cottages

• 

  Step 3: The path leads up to a lane at the rear of the row of cottages. Cross the lane, through the gate and continue along the riverside path

• 

  Step 4: Continue along the riverside path, and pass through another gate

• 

  Step 5: Soon the path emerges onto a lane beside a road bridge. Continue walking along this quiet lane, separated from the river now by a field

• 

  Step 6: The narrow lane continues, rising slightly, and with mossy dry-stone walls on either side
