Shiplake - Reading Thames Path

• Step 1: We start this leg at Shiplake station due to the closure of Marsh Weir Bridge. This skips a 25 minute section. Park at Kings Meadow & walk to Reading station nearby to catch the half hourly train to Twyford & connect to Shiplake.

• 

  Step 2: Exit at shiplake from the Henley line service. There’s no barrier here so be sure to tap out.

  Step 3: Head towards the level crossing to exit the platform.

• 

  Step 4: The crossing is the path towards Marsh Weir Bridge which did join the path to Henley. This is now a large detour.

• 

  Step 5: Instead of crossing the rail track we turn left. At the Baskerville pub turn left again onto Mill Road.

• 

  Step 6: Continue along Mill Road as it curves. This is the Thames path but it runs away from the river through Shiplake.
