  • Step 1: Sandhead Beach has free car-parking but please park responsibly off Shore Road. Near Main St, Sandhead, Stranraer DG9 9JF where there’s also a bus. Visit at low tide to be able to explore the beach which appears to go on forever.

  • Step 3: It’s important to always follow the signs for the designated paths down to the beach and do not trample on the grasses. Leave no trace and take all your belongings and your rubbish home. The beach is also dog-friendly.
