• Step 1: Travelling by Bus we begin our walk at Larch Farm Bus Stop on Nottingham Road served by the Pronto bus from Mansfield or Nottingham. At the big cross roads walk down Kirkby Road continuing half a mile to High Leys Drive our first footpath.

• Step 2: By Car - Remember to make arrangements to collect it later. Thieves Wood car park Coxmoor Rd, Nottingham NG15 9HQ is the closest car park less the 5 mins walk away from our start point.

  Step 3: Follow the pavement to the entrance to priory wood ravenshead

• 

  Step 4: Cross the road just before going through the entrance and go through the walkers gap

• 

  Step 5: Take the footpath on the right through the woods

• 

  Step 6: Mixed woodland creates a roof in this area of woodland in the care of the woodland Trust
