  Step 1: Welcome to Musselburgh. This route will take you to the High Street via the lovely River Esk. Why not walk the scenic route to town?

• 

  Step 2: Start at the entrance to the rail station. Turn left, following the signs towards the town centre.

• 

  Step 3: Just before the roundabout, turn right to follow the pavement away from the road.

• 

  Step 4: Keep following the pavement straight on as it passes through the residential area.

• 

  Step 5: The route goes left and then wraps around this fence to the right.

• 

  Step 6: Follow the road as it makes a sharp left turn.
