• Step 1: This walk starts in the lay-by on the A621 road between Owler Bar & Baslow, with the Eastern moors stretching out on both sides. If facing downhill towards Baslow, it’s just before the turn off to Fox Lane on the left-hand side.

  Step 2: Beside the lay-by is white gate. Go through it to join the path.

  Step 3: Follow this path as far as you can.

  Step 5: Pass through the gate & keep going straight on.

• 

  Step 6: Skirt around the decommissioned Ramsley Reservoir. It’s a wetland haven for wildlife including common lizard & grass snakes!
