• Step 1: This walk starts in the lay-by on the A621 road between Owler Bar & Baslow, with the Eastern moors stretching out on both sides. If facing downhill towards Baslow, it’s just before the turn off to Fox Lane on the left-hand side.

• Step 2: Spring 2024: we’ve had reports that the start of this walk is very boggy now and the footpath isn’t clear so may be impassable.

• 

  Step 3: Beside the lay-by is white gate. Go through it to join the path.

  Step 4: Follow this path as far as you can.
