• 

  Step 1: Park at Portwrinkle or come by bus (70b). On a clear day you may be able to see the Eddystone Lighthouse on the horizon.

• Step 2: If the tide is high, you may want to go onto the beach and come back up the same way. The next steps assume the tide is low enough to walk from Oodney Cove (next to the harbour) to Finnygook Beach.

  Step 3: Walk along the road towards the older part of the village with views of the Longstone and Looe in the far distance.

• 

  Step 4: Carry on past the Old Pilchard salting cellars, built in 1792-1794 and now converted into holiday apartments.

• 

  Step 5: You may want to take in the view over Oodney Cove. The large rock in the sea is known as the Longstone. Turn left down the slipway.

• 

  Step 6: Walk along the beach, with Rame Head in the far distance. This can be very uneven underfoot depending on the tide and amount of rock.
