Step 1: We parked in Marlow and took the hourly train to Maidenhead. Parking gets busy, so arrive early or park further from town on a side road. The station is ten minutes from the Pound Lane car park. The train takes 25 minutes.
Step 2: In Maidenhead, take the steps from the platform, turn left & exit the station. Cross the road & head down Queens street to the High St. Grab supplies here. Head away from town, following signs to the river.
Step 3: Cross to the left side of Bridge Rd. Pass the petrol station & cross to arrive at Maidenhead Bridge Garden for a view of the river & bridge.
Step 4: Walk away from the bridge & past these tiled stairs. Head to the road to continue along the pavement momentarily.
Step 5: Continue on the pavement for a short time. There are some interesting homes on the left side and a creek passes under the road.
Step 6: Walk through the car park back to the riverside and continue along the path. This is a view back at Maidenhead Bridge.
