  Step 1: Start from car park next to refuge I Re Magi in the Vallee Etroite

• 

  Step 2: Walk upwards on path through the Valley

• 

  Step 3: Follow path, you will pass a refuge and continue up the valley

• Step 4: Keep going up

• 

  Step 5: Now you have the hamlet of the refuges behind you as you are walking up the valley

• Step 6: After a while the path is less steep. A path with direction to the lake appears on your right hand side. Leave the main path to follow it.
