  Step 1: Welcome to this walk in the hills of Essex around Langdon Hills.

• Step 2: Getting to Langdon Hills Country Park by public transport is easy. The closest bus stop is Westley Road. From Basildon, Grays or Laindon rail station take bus number 5.

• 

  Step 3: We start in the Langdon Hills Country Park car park, which is free and includes public toilets.

• 

  Step 4: Head north out of the car park across the grass to this signposted kissing gate.

• 

  Step 5: Walk down Stacey Drive, there isn’t a pavement here so please be careful. It’s a quiet residential road so not too busy.

• 

  Step 6: At the bottom of the drive turn right onto Lee Chapel Lane, again with no pavements please take care.
