• 

  Step 1: This walk starts off Heather Lane (LE67 2TD). Leave the car park at the walking exit opposite the car park entrance.

• 

  Step 2: Head through the wooden kissing gate.

• 

  Step 3: Take the smaller path off to the left, signposted Royal Groves and Woodland Walk.

• 

  Step 4: Follow the sandy uneven path through the trees as it bends left and right.

• 

  Step 5: Where a path crosses, keep straight on through the gap in the hedge, signposted Groves Walk.

• Step 6: The other side of the hedge, carry on round on the main path to your right, avoiding the waymarked smaller path off to your left.
