  Step 1: This linear walk starts at the exit of Heworth Metro Station, on the north side.

• Step 2: There are Metro trains to South Shields, Newcastle and Sunderland from this station. On the opposite side of the station there are buses that go across the area too.

• 

  Step 3: Outside the station, turn right and walk down the shared-use ramp.

• 

  Step 4: At the bottom on the left, go through the tunnel under Felling Bypass.

• 

  Step 5: Then head along the path towards the car park and walk through it.

• 

  Step 6: Continue along the designated pedestrian path through the car park.
