  Step 1: Hello! I hope you’re ready for a lovely walk. We’re starting this walk at Hall Road train station.

• 

  Step 2: Look out for this blue plaque, which tells you about the Hall Road Station disaster.

• 

  Step 3: After leaving the station, turn right onto Hall Road West, and continue walking.

• 

  Step 4: Go past the sign for the West Lancashire Golf Club.

• Step 5: On 17 June 1873 – The West Lancashire Golf Club was founded at a meeting in the Seaforth Hotel by seven members of Royal Liverpool Golf Club anxious to expand ‘the Scottish national game’ by bringing it across the River Mersey.

• Step 6: Continue walking along Hall Road West.
