  Step 1: Looking for some rainy day fun we happened upon The Heights of Abraham right near Matlock Bath train station. Get off here or park up.

• 

  Step 2: Safely cross the train line. It’s a real station and there are real trains. Follow the signs to the Cable Car. We’re going up up up and away

• 

  Step 3: After you’ve walked down this path.

• 

  Step 4: It’s signposted. There’s loads of Derwent Valley trails all around here too. Look out for the stickers.

• 

  Step 5: It’s pretty pricey but a nice treat. There’s a cafe, several kids playgrounds and caves to wander around, perfect for a rainy day.

• 

  Step 6: We hopped in. The views obviously would be even better on a sunny day....
