Step 1: This walk is an alternative to the Floating Harbour research walk which is being used by the University of the West of England to study how walking environments might influence walking experiences. This walk contains no questions.
Step 2: Taking part involves answering a few questions along the route, the answers of which are anonymised. If you wish to take part, please use the alternative route at the start of this walk.
Step 3: This walk starts at Bristol Temple Meads railway station. Exit the station, following signs for the floating harbour.
Step 4: Pass the bike parking and racks and continue straight on the Friary towards the canal (Floating Harbour). There will be cafes on your left.
Step 5: Once canalside, pass the pedestrian Valentine Bridge on your right and head along Temple Back East, with the canal on your right.
Step 6: Follow the walkway by the canal, passing under the Temple Way road bridge.
