  Step 1: We’ll be starting this walk from the N Fuller Ave entrance. Tip: arrive by taxi so you don’t have the hassle of finding a parking spot.

• 

  Step 2: This paved road is the start of our trail. Tip: Bring dollar bills. There’s a handy little cart selling drinks and snacks. Stay hydrated.

• 

  Step 3: You will notice offshoot hike trails. This leads to the more advanced West Ridge trail or the asphalt Runyon Canyon Road hiking path.

• 

  Step 4: We’re going to carry on forwards along the easy-/mid-level East trail.

• 

  Step 5: It’s easy to forget that Los Angeles is essentially a built-up desert. Parts of Southern California are often in drought.

• 

  Step 6: As you follow the shallow inclining dirt track round, the City of Los Angeles begins to reveal itself.
