• Step 1: The walk starts at the Barton-under-Needwood Village Hall car park (DE13 8AF). Buses 12 and 808 stop on nearby Church Road, running to and from Yoxall and Burton upon Trent.

• 

  Step 2: By the Village Hall. Head past the toilet block to begin.

• 

  Step 3: At the end of Crowberry Lane there will be a public footpath sign, this is at the end of the cul-de-sac.

• 

  Step 4: Go through the gate and keep straight on, avoiding minor paths to the left and right.

• 

  Step 5: Go through another metal gate and head straight on.

• 

  Step 6: You’ll soon reach an information board, which will be on your left. Head through the wooden gate.
