• 

  Step 1: Start at Greenfield train station, with regular services from Manchester. Buses from Oldham also run to nearby stops on Shaw Hall Bank Road.

• Step 2: Please note that parts of this walk may be damp, muddy and slippery at any time of year and especially after periods of wet weather. Please bear this in mind when planning your trip.

• Step 3: As you exit, turn right and continue down Shaw Hall Bank Road.

• 

  Step 4: Over to the left is Station Brew cafe, which has a lovely view overlooking the hills and friendly service. Stay on the right-hand pavement.

• 

  Step 5: Just after the cafe, cross Shaw Hall Bank Road at the junction to take a sharp left turn and continue down Chew Valley Road.

• 

  Step 6: Stay on the right-hand pavement as you head downhill.
