• 

  Step 1: Car parking is closest at the foot of Cwmorthin, but there’s plenty space lower down near the Lakeside Cafe, too

• 

  Step 2: Go through the kissing gate onto the rocky track that goes up to the right of the waterfall

• 

  Step 3: The track is fairly steep and climbs alongside a series of waterfalls

• 

  Step 4: Halfway up the ascent is a fine plunge pool

• 

  Step 5: The first ascent levels out and there’s a fine view back down the ravine

• 

  Step 6: To the left the original footpath crossed a now-defunct bridge, but you can stay on this side of the watercourse.
