  Step 1: There’s room for a 5 or 6 cars at the entrance to the nature reserve. Grid ref SO 47579 05977

• 

  Step 2: Croes Robert Wood is a nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Be aware that there are steep slopes.

• 

  Step 3: Wander as you wish or follow the top path and loop around. In wet weather it will be muddy and in the summer, overgrown.

• 

  Step 4: The woodland contains many local and rare tree species including Ash, Wych Elm and Wild Cherry.

• Step 5: As we were short on time, we did a short 15 minute walk with our family along the top path but you could easily spend an hour or more here.

• Step 6: If you’re quiet or come at dusk, you may happen upon badgers, fallow deer, weasels, brown hares and the yellow-necked mouse.
