  Step 1: Rowland is a tiny hamlet near Hassop. From Longreave Lane, head up this road towards Longstone Edge.

• 

  Step 2: There’s not much traffic here so it’s safe to walk along the road but keep your eyes and ears open & be ready to stand to the side if needed

• 

  Step 3: You will pass pretty old cottages and farm buildings on your way up the hill.

• 

  Step 4: You’ll see a real slice of rural life up here, with many farms along the way.

  Step 6: At the top the lane turns into a gravelly path. Keep following above the fields.
