  Step 1: With the flagpole next to toilets behind you, carefully walk down the main car park and take second exit on your right

• 

  Step 2: The sign points to Shallows Bridge as the route to Haysden Water. Opposite is a notice board with information about the park

• Step 3: As you cross over Shallows Bridge can you spot the unusual ‘glove’ tree on your right?

• 

  Step 4: A few steps beyond the first bench you will see this oak tree, a typical example with a broad and spreading crown

• 

  Step 5: The green acorns will turn brown before falling to the ground. These are surrounded by a bunch of the oaks lobed leaves

• 

  Step 6: Continue on the trail and follow to turn left down alongside hedge
