• 

  Step 1: Start at the Star in Chalton. The Chiltern Way entrance is alongside their extensive beer garden at the back of the car park.

• 

  Step 2: You are led to a large field with a wood at the back. You can go across to the wood and turn left or follow the footpath.

• 

  Step 3: The path is well signed.

• 

  Step 4: This bit isn’t so pretty but bear with it! Once you get across the M1 it improves significantly :)

• 

  Step 5: This is the road that you follow to go over the bridge over the M1. The children love this bit!

• 

  Step 6: Once over the M1 you come to the railway bridge. You can circumnavigate it but we always cross the railway.
