Step 1: This walk starts at Boathouse Wood Car Park. There is a small charge for parking with no charge for disabled spaces.
Step 2: This trail will show you interesting features of the lake but can be accessed from two other car parks. From Boathouse Wood car park follow the main track to the lake. For those with walking difficulties use disabled access track
Step 3: As you walk toward the lake turn right passing under large beech trees - note the boathouses do have steps but you can go via the route behind with no steps.
Step 4: On this anticlockwise route there are lovely lakeside views with lots of seating to enjoy views as you walk around.
Step 5: Pass the first of 3 jetties next to Pheasant Field, so called due to it being previously a private estate for pheasants now full of wildlife
Step 6: The track on the boardwalk is designed to protect sensitive marsh plants and wildlife. Dragonflies and otters have even been seen here. From the jetty head back to the main path.
