  Step 1: Enter Ashton Park at the Westbourne Road entrance.

  Step 2: Ashton Park was officially opened in 1901. It was designed as a place for promenading, so let’s promenade!

  Step 3: Follow the path straight ahead of you.

• 

  Step 4: The land was originally owned by the wealthy Liverpool merchant Henry Ashton and leased by his granddaughter Emily Mary Ashton.

  Step 5: Continue straight along the path in front of you.

• 

  Step 6: Look out for the blooming hydrangeas in the borders. The gardens have been planted to have a variety of flowers throughout the year.
