  Step 1: The walk starts by the railway bridge at Afon Wen. It’s a good place to park. Otherwise, the #3 bus service stops at the top of the lane

• 

  Step 2: There’s space to park about 5 cars here, by the roadside and under the bridge

• 

  Step 3: From the railway, go under the bridge and follow the track along the riverside, downstream towards the sea

• 

  Step 4: The path rises up towards a grassed-over shingle bank, and the river bends away to the left

• 

  Step 5: Turn right as you reach the bank and follow the grassy coastal path up the steps to the gateway into the field above

• 

  Step 6: The path continues along the left-hand boundary of the field, parallel with the shore
