Step 1: Start at Ernest E. Debs Park, it’s open dawn until dusk. Make sure you read the notices and follow the advice. There is parking here.
Step 2: Walk up past this sign for this particular walk. The whole place is great for walking or cycling and there are several miles of quiet hiking and cycling trails.
Step 3: It’s also worth noting that this area is prone to forest fires as is much of the LA hills and suburbs are. This route is a quick nature fix rather than a hike. You could spend much longer here and go your own way.
Step 4: This park is a large open space nature reserve and regional park. It’s named after a former county supervisor. Follow this steep path up.
Step 5: If you keep to the path and keep looking around, you’ll get some fantastic views. You’re on Repetto Hills, there are views over Arroyo Seco.
Step 6: This route is paved so good for prams and little ones.
