  Step 1: Make your way down from the Ightam Mote car park, through the gate and cross the road straight into the walk.

• 

  Step 2: The path is good under foot and you instantly feel surrounded by beautiful nature.

• 

  Step 3: If you’re there in early spring you’ll smell the Wild Garlic before you spot it.

• 

  Step 4: Keep ascending up through the peaceful woodland, taking in the bird song and sounds of the stream running parallel to the walk.

• 

  Step 5: Take a breather at this stunning pond about half way up the walk. I’ve sat here for hours and have spotted herons, frogs and foxes.

• 

  Step 6: Don’t forget to look up and take in the beauty of some wonderful trees along the route.
