  Step 1: The walk starts at the free car park, just past the barrier.

• 

  Step 2: There’s an information board with a map at the entrance.

• Step 3: Millington Wood is one of the richest botanical woodlands in the East Riding, and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. With its rich mix of trees, flowering plants, birds and bats, this is a walk for all the senses.

  Step 4: Walk along the track until you get to a clearing.

• 

  Step 5: At the clearing there’s a charcoal kiln and some picnic tables. Take the path to the right, which leads up several flights of steep steps.

• 

  Step 6: The steps go straight up for a while and then the path curves to the left.
