• 

  Step 1: Welcome to Barry Island station. It’s easy to get here by direct Transport for Wales train from Cardiff and Pontypridd.

• 

  Step 2: As you leave the station, use the zebra crossing opposite the pleasure park. Turn left to head up Station Approach Road.

• 

  Step 3: Continue straight along the pavement. Station Approach Road becomes Breaksea Drive up ahead.

• 

  Step 4: It’s gradual, but a bit of a climb, so take your time as you go.

• 

  Step 5: Our route turns right at the top of the rise at the T-junction onto Friars Road. Follow the sign for the Wales Coast Path.

• 

  Step 6: Follow the pavement along Friars Road.
