• Step 1: This walk runs between two historic towns in Oxfordshire and passes a couple of rest spots for drinks or even breakfast or lunch. It ends in Dorchester, passing Iron Age sites and ends at the Abbey with tea shop for cake.

• Step 2: Park in Dorchester for free (Bridgend Rd) & walk up to the bypass to catch the X40 bus to Wallingford. Or park in Wallingford and bus back at the end. If no car the bus serves Reading and Oxford. There are loos in both towns.

• 

  Step 3: Get off the bus at the Market Place in Wallingford. Walk in the opposite direction to the church seen here. Grab refreshments if needed.

• 

  Step 4: Head to the High St via St Mary’s St or St Martin’s if you need a supermarket. Turn right onto the High St to head towards the Bridge.

• 

  Step 5: You’ll pass antique markets and historic buildings.

• 

  Step 6: Just before the bridge is Castle Lane. Turn left between the two pubs.
