Step 1: Begin your walk at the Station Road car park in Brimington. It's just next to The Mill pub. You'll join the towpath just by a lock.
Step 2: Start to follow the waterway along the path. This canal is 220 years old and stretches 46 miles all the way to the River Trent.
Step 3: But donβt worry, youβll only cover about 6km today, surrounded by nature, canal boats and maybe a few people fishing ππ¦ππ¦πΈπΏπ£π£
Step 4: The canal was built to export coal, limestone, iron & lead from Derbyshire. The stone for the Palace of Westminster once sailed by this spot
Step 5: You made it to Dixons Lock. Someone once accidentally pulled the plug & drained part of the canal. Wooops! π
