• Step 1: Start at the Miners pub or park safely along one of the side roads if you’re coming from further afield.

• 

  Step 2: Follow the public footpath signs up this road.

• 

  Step 3: Today was snowy, so sensible shoes and walking the slow life was necessary.

• 

  Step 4: At the end of the road walk up these stairs until you get to a gate.

• 

  Step 5: Go through the gate and get ready to start climbing the hill.

• 

  Step 6: If you look to your right you should see Carsington Reservoir sparkling away.
