Step 1: The Great Fen New Decoy area is situated alongside the B660 & there is a gravel car park for you to use. This car park is surrounded by large pieces of bog oak that are semi-fossilised remains of trees covered in peat.
Step 2: Welcome to the New Decoy Info Point. It’s located at the heart of the Great Fen area so it is a great place to get your bearings.
Step 3: If you are thinking about visiting the Great Fen but need mobility assistance, you can still have a great day with the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre.
Step 4: There is an all-terrain electric Tramper which is free to hire from Monday to Friday between 9am & 4pm. It has been tested & can easily cope with the terrain. Do call the Wildlife Trust Centre to book this on 01487 815524.
Step 5: Head left along the path & you’ll soon reach an information board about Dark Skies in Great Fen. 🌟 🌌
Step 6: Not many places are free from light pollution, but the Great Fen has been awarded the designation of Dark Sky Discovery Site, at both this New Decoy Farm Information Point & the Wildlife Trust Countryside Centre.
