  • Step 1: This section of the river is much harder to navigate by public transport. Buses run regularly to the bridge from Oxford or Witney & from Newbridge to Witney hourly. We had breakfast at the Rose Revived & taxi to Swinford Bridge.

  • There’s a bus stop on the south side of the river where it’s safe for taxis to stop. Head up the pavement on the right towards the bridge.
