• 

  Step 1: Start at the RSPB Ham Wall car park - parking is free for members or £3. There is cycle parking, toilets & the nearest bus stop is in Meare.

• 

  Step 2: Continue straight ahead on the main path which has a hard surface with some loose rocks. Pass the reeds and bear left onto a wooden walkway.

• 

  Step 3: At the path junction, head right uphill to a bridge.

• 

  Step 4: Pause on the bridge for some great views across the south of the reserve, home to otters, kingfishers, bitterns and water voles.

• 

  Step 5: Continue downhill off the bridge on the main path.

• 

  Step 6: Look out for friendly robins by the benches.
