Step 1: This new coastal walk was brought to you in partnership with TOG24 and National Trails to celebrate the renaming of the King Charles III England Coast Path (KCIIIECP). Expect family-friendly fun, lovely beaches and vitamin sea!
Step 2: There is a carpark opposite the Solway Wetlands centre and Campfield Marsh, Bowness on Solway (CA7 5AG). Start the walk here.
Step 3: Inside the center you’ll be greeted by this friendly Lapwing with info about the marshes it’s wildlife & access to the public toilets.
Step 4: The information board by the front door includes all the latest sightings on the marshes, it’s an impressive list! What will you see today?
Step 5: You can also borrow binoculars to take a closer look at the wildlife. Remember to return them at the end. Some of the paths are also dog-friendly but please adhere to signage onsite. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting muddy!
Step 6: There are two main routes around the marshes, the shorter blue route (1.5 miles) and the longer red route which we are going on today!
