• 

  Step 1: We parked at the Shell Bay National Trust Car Park. The bus stop Shell Bay Ferry is just a minute walk away too.

• 

  Step 2: Head onto the boardwalk path to the right of the toilet block.

• 

  Step 3: To your right you can see across the wetland to the hills beyond.

• 

  Step 4: The area is part of the Studland and Godlington Heaths National Nature Reserve and has a wide variety of habitats.

• 

  Step 5: Follow the boardwalk to the end and onto the sand. Turn right to walk slightly uphill. Dogs should be on leads here from May - September.

• 

  Step 6: Head through the gorse with sand underfoot.
