• 

  Step 1: Start from Pevensey & Westham station (direct service from London Victoria/Brighton). Turn right out of the station.

• Step 2: Turn right onto High Street.

• 

  Step 3: You can walk through the grounds of Pevensey castle (paid entry). A former Roman Saxon Shore fort (c 290AD) and medieval castle (c 1066)

• Step 4: Otherwise follow Castle Road around it and then head left into High Street once more.

• Step 5: Turn right into Wallsend Road.

• 

  Step 6: Pevensey is a Cinque Port, an historic series of coastal towns in Kent, Sussex and Essex originally formed for military and trade purposes.
