  Step 1: Get ready for a long slow climb. A walking pole is a good help on this trail

• Step 2: Pen Arthur is sort of a hidden gem, in that it is in the middle of nowhere, and has some great views. The trail is graded as 'strenuous' on the maps so this puts people off and gives you silence

• 

  Step 3: As you climb you will keep glimpsing the valleys and hills through the trees

• 

  Step 4: As you near the top the tree line thins to mainly pines

• 

  Step 5: The view over the mountains is well worth it

• 

  Step 6: The last part of the walk is a short circle around the top with views over the valley
