  Step 1: In Prague’s Old Town Square, unless it’s very early in the morning you’ll probably be surrounded by crowds of people.

• 

  Step 2: Especially on the hour when everyone comes to watch the astronomical clock burst into life with chiming bells and dancing figures.

• Step 3: The clock not only tells the time but also displays the movement of the sun and moon through the signs of the zodiac, and of the planets around the earth.

• 

  Step 4: Around the square you’ll see the Jan Hus Memorial and the Gothic towers of the Church of Our Lady before Týn.

• 

  Step 5: Prague has two Baroque churches of St Nicholas, both built by Kilian Ignac Dientzenhifer. The other one is in Malá Strana.

• 

  Step 6: Go around to the right of St Nicholas and you’ll reach the Maisel Synagogue - you’re now in Josefov - Prague’s Old Jewish quarter.
