Step 1: This walk starts at National Trust Nymans (RH17 6EA). NT members park for free. There’s a cafe, toilets and gorgeous gardens to explore.
Step 2: The nearest bus stop can be found in nearby Handcross off the High Street by the Red Lion pub.
Step 3: This walk centres on a woodland wander but you can extend the walk to visit Nymans House and gardens. Please note dogs welcome in the gardens, Nov - Jan only. The woodland area is dog-friendly.
Step 4: Nymans is a medieval-style manor house which was remodelled in the 1920s but is now a partial ruin. Check out the map & board for more info.
Step 5: With your back to the cafe, walk to the other end of the car park to begin our jaunt. It can be muddy in wet or wintry weather and has some steep inclines and declines.
Step 6: Once you’re at the other end of the car park, just before the overflow car park, you’ll find the wide right-hand path into the woodlands.
